Exhibition 6 September - 31st October 2018
Matter of Stuff at Fenman House, 95 Lewis Cubitt Walk, N1C 4DF, London
Residency: from 15th August 2018
Matter of Stuff will present a new concept pop-up design gallery designed by Raw Edges, which unites its unique three-fold expertise: commissioning design, researching materials and technologies, and showcasing designs from world-renowned design brands. Conceived with the support of their manufacturing partners Teamworks and Utopica, Matter of Stuff’s exhibition will unveil new research in materials, finishes, texture – particularly in marble and ceramics.
New material textures and inlays in marble are designed by PiM Studio and will be unveiled for the first time together with ceramics tiles designed by Gio Ponti, Giles Miller, Stella McCartney and Ferragamo.
The furniture on exhibit will include renowned pieces from Matter of Stuff’s own furniture and lighting collection, such as the Lunar, Orbit and Solar chairs by Bohinc Studio and Echo table by Uufie.
These will be presented alongside works by international design brands including Bocci, CC-Tapis, La Chance, Made in Ratio, Marset, Tala, Utopia and Utility, Wonderglass, Novocastrian and more. Independent designers and acclaimed artists will also enrich the show with pieces from Julian Mayor, Umberto Dattola, Simone Crestani, Philip Cuttance, Studio Sahil, Paola Parronetto.
